“Hyakuyen Shoppu” (100 yen store – equivalent to 99 cent store) is a pretty popular thing in Japan where they sell pretty decent everyday items, cosmetics, food, arts and crafts items for 100 yen.  I found an awesome mini christmas tree at Daiso (yes it’s the same Daiso that’s been opening up in Southern California recently) so I decided to make a mini christmas tree with mini ornaments using “paper clay”.  I really liked using paper clay for this particular project because they are really light, so they hung pretty well on the miniature christmas tree without the worry of being it too heavy for the little branches.

You can buy paper clay in different colors, but I used gauche paint to color my white paper clay to make different colors.
