My friends and I try to be very creative for our birthday celebrations. This time, our theme was Derby Day and we decided to go to the Santa Anita Race Track to get our very first My Fair Lady experience.
I try to keep the baking part pretty simple and focus more on the decoration. I usually just follow some random recipes online and never really go too crazy.
This is when I get creative. First, I add food coloring to the fondant to get the right colors. I usually hate mixing the black because it’s SOOO messy… but I also love using black fondant for contrast. Then you start molding and sculpting the fondant for the toppers. I only started using molds lately but they are so awesome!
The ribbon mold was my hero tool this time. I added some gold to add some glitz on glamour 😀

My first Derby experience was great! I learned how to make bets lol and we got to see the horses! It was such a lovely day 🙂
