From pumpkin carving to trick or treating and a little fun for the adults to end the night, for the first time, I feel like I did everything that you can possibly do for Halloween this year. Clara had her Halloween PJs that she wore on the eve on Halloween and wore it straight to daycare lol. For Halloween lunch, I made monster burgers, spinach “pumpkin” dip and crazy eye deviled eggs. I wanted to put the spinach dip inside a mini pumpkin but Trader Joe’s ran out of their mini pumpkin few days before Halloween! Clara’s costume this year,…
Happy Halloween! It is getting cooler and darker earlier now that Summer is (finally) over, here in LA… but thank goodness there are holidays like Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Years to get us through the gloom! Yesterday, we celebrated Halloween at the office. I decided to make little Halloween gifts for my new coworkers. Luckily there are only 6 of us in the creative department, so I only had to make 5 of these :p I literally whipped them out in less than an hour when I woke up in the morning! Here is a Origami Box Instruction that…
I just finished illustrating a children’s book for a client called “This is Gray Cat”. It is a book about his family cat which he wanted to create for his wife (so sweet!). I have illustrated many characters, but this is the first children’s book where I illustrated everything myself. These are animated gifs… pretty old school but my client wanted to see some movements for a digital version
It’s here! My Yeti & Bigfoot Canvas prints! Carlo and I are trying to have a tent at a local craft fair this Fall. I will order more prints with my other characters. I am so excited! I also have my Karate Panda, Mr. Turtle, UniCorn, Bruno the Pug, Qush the Dog, and Ballerina Bunnie. Will post more pictures later!
Our on a budget VERY simple Wedding Invitation Card was printed on 2 card stock papers. As much as I love designing since that is what I do… being on a budget was more important… and seriously who saves these wedding invitations anyway right? lol :p I cannot wait to see all my guests dressed in WHITE . It’s going to be so pretty!
2014 & 2015 have been so busy, I didn’t really get a chance to keep up my blog. My daughter Clara Ann Pulido was born a year ago and now it’s her first birthday! Since I wanted to do something different from every other themed birthday parties, I decided to create little monstar characters. The most fun part of prepping was the Photo Booth that we hand cut and painted! For the centerpieces I covered all of Clara’s used formula cans with felt and made them into monsters too! I also made stuffed dolls (my sewing classes in college paid…
We’ve been wanting to do an International Potluck for a while since we are all from a different Asian background and we thought what’s a better way than throwing a Thanksgiving Dinner Party! Good friends + great food = Best times! Definitely a successful event! Lynda did a great job with the table set up 😀 Chinese PotstickersVietnamese Catfish wrap Star fruits! Vietnamese wrap Thai Beef Dish Filipino Lumpia and Japanese Spicy Tuna Roll station!
Clara was the little red riding hood for her first Halloween! It was a super easy costume to make. I made a red cape with a hood and a red skirt. I was a wolf (yes I made my costume), my husband… a grandma lol. We carved miniature pumpkin for the first time. I didn’t even know they were so carve-able!
